What to Pack as a Camp Counsellor | CAMP STONEWALL

Photo by Juju Camizzi of Willow Photography
What you pack will really depend on what type of Camp you are placed on and what activities you will be engaging in. This is a list of what I packed when I was a camp counsellor at Camp Stonewall in Thompson, Connecticut.

We were given 3x camp t-shirts (Welcome Day T-Shirt, Colour Wars T-Shirt and then a t-shirt of your colour choice) when we arrived at camp and then had the option of ordering more. You didn't have to wear these shirts if you didn't want to but they were extremely comfortable and most people wore them every day!

  • 5x T-Shirts
  • 2x Nicer shirts
  • 1x Long sleeve shirt
  • 1x Hoodie or zip up jumper
  • 1x Cardigan
  • 2x Casual dresses
  • 5-7x Pairs of sport shorts
  • 1x 3/4 Active leggings
  • 1x Track pants
  • 1x Pair of jeans

  • 7x Underwear
  • 7x Short socks
  • 2x Long socks
  • 2x Bras
  • 3x Sports bras
  • 1x One Piece bathing piece
  • 1x Bikini
Sleepwear/Protective Wear:
  • 1x PJ Shorts
  • 1x PJ Top

  • 1x Pair of Sunglasses

  • 1x Pair of Flip-flops/ thongs
  • 1x Pair of Nice sandals
  • 1x Pair of Joggers/sneakers

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Soap
  • Facewash
  • Moisturizer
  • Vaseline or fatty ointment
  • Deodorant
  • Hairbrush
  • Contraceptive Pill
  • Painkillers

No one really wore that much makeup at camp, just really light and basic. Usually, just a good BB cream that had SPF in it would be enough! I had my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted prior to camp and that meant I didn't really have to worry about doing much! You only really need a basic makeup kit if you want.
  • BB Cream
  • Powder
  • Mascara
  • Eyebrow pencil/kit
  • Tinted lip balm
  • Makeup remover
