How I Edit My IPhone Photos | PHOTOGRAPHY

Lately, I've had a few people ask me about which apps I use and how I edit my IPhone photos.

The simple answer is that I use the VSCO App to edit all the photos I take on my phone. VSCO is incredibly simple to use, doesn't destroy the quality of your photos and gives you lots of editing options as well as free beautiful filters to use and play around with. A lot of photographers have very strong opinions about VSCO, however, my opinion is that it rocks, I love it, it's actually usable and makes my life 10x easier. Also- they quite often give paid presets away for free so don't forget to check the app every now and then! You can also buy the VSCO presets to use in Lightroom, however, they are rather pricey so I use my own homemade presets instead because I'm a broke uni student!

This blog will give you the rundown of how I have edited some of my previous IPhone photos and the steps to take to achieve a similar look. Please keep in mind that completely copying these steps may not give every photo the same look. That's why it's important to take a good photo first with good lighting and composition before you start playing with editing it. I can't stress this enough!

Within VSCO you are given 20 editing options (as seen below) to allow you to tweak the photo to the way you want it. The best way to learn it is to have a play around with each option and see what it does. Most of them are quite self-explanatory though!

SO MANY OPTIONS!
